Crunchy homemade Chicken Nuggets

This recipe is perfect for teaching young kids to cook. You can do the cutting and the kids can do the rest.


  • ½ kg skinless chicken breast, cut in strips
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup corn flour
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1-2 tsp mixed spices: garlic powder, white and black pepper, and paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


Combine spices and salt with corn flour. Dip the chicken strips in the corn flour mixture then in the
beaten egg and finally in the breadcrumbs. Brush a baking sheet or tray with olive oil, add chicken strips and bake in a pre-heated oven until crunchy from the outside and tender from the inside, about 25 minutes.
