Hello, I am Dr. Carla Habib Mourad

I am a licensed dietitian nutritionist, and through my years of experience, I can help you
reach your goals.

Balance and moderation are the keys to a happy and healthy life include them in your life everyday.

Every time you open the internet or turn on the TV, you learn about a nutrition topic or a specific
food. Nutritionist, dietitians and other non-food experts are almost everywhere around you!
Many times the information is conflicting and you end up more confused than informed.
However, the truth is simple and obvious; I learned it from college, of course, during my journey
of learning, but also from my personal life experiences, while raising up my two beautiful
children (who are grownups by now) my travels and my encounters with so many inspiring
people.

I want to share with you my philosophy in life, summarized in three simple rules:

1) You have to love yourself

We are born with different shapes and sizes and we have to love ourselves no matter what. Do not be deceived with model images in magazines and on social media that are often retouched to appear perfect. Take care of yourself by eating well and exercising regularly.

2) Focus on wellness

Find ways that work for you, what makes you feel well and happy. There are no magic potions, just listen to what your body needs and provide it.

3) Make it easy and simple

When you set unrealistic goals or make complicated plans this is surely a recipe for failure. Start slowly, make simple steps to change your habits and be patient.

How to follow a healthy diet plan?

Why Dr. Carla’s way is so special?

I rely on solid scientific resources when preparing my media topics, lectures and during consultations with patients. Consultations with patients. Speaking of private consultations, I only believe in the personalized approach. To me, individuals differ a lot in their nutritional needs and food preferences. According to me, those are the criteria for a SOUND diet plan if you need to lose, gain weight or have any health problem:

  • All your nutritional needs should be met. This means that you have to be consuming foods from all food groups.
  • The diet should help you achieve a steady weight loss or gain, and this differs again from an individual to another.
  • The diet plan needs to be flexible to meet your social life and should include common food items available in your kitchen.
  • You must consider ‘Weight maintenance’ the moment you start the diet. If you believe that you cannot sustain this diet all your life then you should never start it.
  • Hunger or fatigue feelings are not allowed when you are trying to lose weight.

That is Dr. Carla’s way
